  • ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is an oil based plastic which is a strong, sturdy material often used for constructing plastic car parts, musical instruments and Lego, but does offer less fine detail than PLA. ABS printing is completely safe on UPBOX+
  • PLA (Poly Lactic Acid) is made from organic material – specifically corn starch and sugarcane. This makes it easy and safe to use, it gives a smoother and shinier appearance than ABS that’s more aesthetically pleasing. It will also print finer detail than ABS but is not as strong.
